STAMINA® YOGA Therapeutics
 |
We are pleased to announce the addition STAMINA® YOGA Therapeutics or Private one-on-one Yoga Sessions. Your session will be prescribed by your STAMINA Therapist to address your specific needs. Yoga brings balance to nearly every physical problem; even if you are wheelchair bound.
Yoga was the foundation for STAMINA® and we are pleased to extend our treatments to include STAMINA® YOGA Therapeutics (a gentle rehabilitative approach to exercise therapy).
Both Cam & Aleyna have extensive experience teaching Restorative Yoga, Silverage Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Classical and Intermediate Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and are members of IAYT [ International Assciation of Yoga Therapists]. Together, they have taught hundreds of classes, and bring their passion for yoga into this unique offering.
We are presently building a Karunta [means puppet] Yoga Therapy Wall to provide traction therapy and expanded support for a host of therapeutic positions that are done to fully decompress the main loading centers in the body. Cam & Aleyna built a similar wall at the Canadian Yoga Institute www.yogacanada.org several years ago, and are bringing that experience into the clinic environment.
We have often been approached by individuals who want to make healthier choices but cannot attend scheduled group classes for a host of reasons. For these individuals we will design a home practice to suite your abilities [from desk jockey to athlete].

Your private session will include a DVD that will be filmed while you or your instructor correctly performs the prescribed postures; then you can take the DVD home with you, so that you can more easily repeat each position correctly. You will also have a prescription folder that will contain a variety of suggestions that will help you toward a home practice of yoga.
The 90-60 or 30 minute sessions will be available in the new year. To book your private session, you can either phone in or book through the on-line calendar.
Stay tuned for more updates! See you on the mat!
